The City of Ojai Arts Commission is proud to announce that applications for the 2019 City of Ojai Art Grant Program are now available. Funds of $25,000 were approved by the Ojai City Council for the 2016 Art Grant Program.

“We had a really exciting group of projects last year and are hoping to draw in even more artists and art organizations to participate in this year’s grant cycle,” said Marcy Toscher, City of Ojai Arts Grants Committee Chair. “We make this an easy process for all qualified individuals and encourage anyone out there with a project to consider applying.”

The program is designed to fund individual artists and non-profit organizations that produce or present the arts and/or cultural programs that primarily benefit the City and Ojai and its residents. The program has helped many organizations and individuals produce successful arts and cultural programs that otherwise might not have occurred due to lack of funding. Previous recipients have included the Ojai Festivals, Ojai Community Chorus, OYES, Focus On The Masters, Ojai Art Center Theater and more.

Requirements include that grantees provide a dollar-for-dollar match for requested funding and must complete their project within 2019. Applications are now available for download on the City of Ojai Arts Commission website, www.artsojai.org, or can be picked up at Ojai City Hall, 401 S. Ventura St. All completed applications must be received at Ojai City Hall (mailing address PO Box 1570, Ojai, CA 93024) by 5 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2018 for the 2019 calendar year. Postmarks will not be accepted.
