On Saturday, May 18th and Sunday, May 19th, the Ojai Community Chorus will be presenting its annual spring concert. “Jazz a la Mode!” will feature a fabulous variety of jazzy music to get your toes tapping and bring back some wonderful memories. The Chorus will be entertaining you with such great classics as “Cow Cow Boogie,” the sultry “Fever,” the be-bop rhythm of “The Boy from New York City,” and an exciting version of “The Joint is Jumpin’”. These are just samples from a concert that will be loads of fun, filled with ensembles as well as choral works.
Thanks to Director Connie Woodson, the concerts always feature something for everyone, and this concert is no exception. In addition, the chorus will be accompanied by the hugely talented James Antunez, John Boyd, and Chris Kimbler .
The performances will be held Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Ojai United Methodist Church, 120 Church Road. A boutique and bake sale will also be held.
